Get To Know Us

The Pierce Family Foundation was created from love, loss, and a promise to help others through cancer.

In 1988, Charles Pierce lost his battle with lung cancer. During that heartbreak,
his son Tom and Tom’s wife Patty decided they would honor Charles by building something that gave hope, something that could rally a community and directly support people impacted by cancer.

That promise became The Pierce Family Foundation.

In 2004, our family hosted our first official fundraiser: a golf outing at Prairie Bluff Golf Club in Romeoville, Illinois. The response was bigger than we ever imagined. What started as one event quickly grew into an annual tradition, and then into something more, a year-round community of supporters who believed in what we stood for and wanted to help carry it forward.

Today, The Pierce Family Foundation continues that original mission by raising funds that are donated to cancer survivors and research. We bring people together through meaningful events, partnerships, and moments of shared purpose—because no one should face cancer without hope, support, and a community behind them.

Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or you’re discovering us for the first time, you belong here. When we come together, we don’t just raise funds – we lift families, fuel progress, and protect what matters most.

Join us. Donate, volunteer, sponsor, or attend an event, because childhood wonder deserves to win.
